About
The Grassroots International Support Program provides short-term housing options and volunteer-powered wraparound support for refugee claimants, government-assisted refugees, and women in crisis. We are not a settlement agency. Our work focuses on housing stability, practical daily-life support, emotional reassurance, and community connection, delivered through volunteers and in partnership with local organizations. Our approach centers on providing housing-centered support through guest houses, host families, and supported rentals, combined with volunteer-led practical and emotional support. Belonging and human connection are part of support from day one. We fill gaps that formal systems cannot and work alongside partners rather than replacing them.

Belonging and human connection are at the heart of our mission. We believe in the power of individuals to define their future and create positive change within their communities.
